Over the past two decades this diagnostic centre made gradual but steady growth in diagnostic capabilities and maintains a curtsy oriented customer service culture. The ISO certification was first accorded in the year 2003 and the centre continued to maintain this Quality Management System since then and this enabled the achievement of NABL accreditation in the year 2012 in the first and itself.

Metro Scans and Laboratory is one of the largest chain of medical diagnostic centres in Kerala. We have more than 10 branches across Kerala providing services ranging  from 3 Tesla  / 1.5 Tesla MRI,128 slice CT scan,High end Ultrasound and all other diagnostic services including Fully automated laboratory services accredited by National Accreditation Board for Laboratories(NABL).

Metro Scans and Laboratory was inaugurated  on 17th  Aug 2003 at Trivandrum which brought a new trend in the field of Medical Diagnostics in capital city of Kerala - viz, Quality and Consistency in diagnostic services especially in the emerging field of Medical Imaging.

Metro Scans introduced the latest equipments in Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory services in 2003- an entire range under one roof . It provided a new experience to the citizen of capital city ,who has enthusiastically supported our ventures in last several years.

Now we are currently having 4 centres with full fledged stand alone facilities from 1.5T MRI to laboratory  service and more than  6 smaller  centres  including in-hospital facilities across Kerala. Throughout these years we have kept our word with the medical community, introducing several new modalities and excelling in image quality.

Year 2003-2015

We are the first imaging center in the entire stage to bag the coveted ISO Certification (ISO 9001-2000)

We introduced Digital X-ray in standard imaging practice in the state.

We introduced 4D Imaging in South Kerala and is now only place having two 4D Sonography machines.

We began with the first state-of- the –art, Open MRI System and Spiral CT Scan in the capital city.

We have become the first imaging center in Kerala to establish a Multislice CT Scanner and Bone Densitometry Equipment (DEXA Scan).

We have the complete range of electrophysiological testing equipments like Digital ECG, EEG, NVC, EMG, TMT, PFT etc..

We introduced Digital OPG for the first time in Kerala.

We introduced Mammography Service with correlative high resolution Sonography as standard practice.

Year 2015-2016

First 128 Slice CT Machine with Cardiac CT Angiography capability introduced in Trivandrum

Opened new laboratory at NALANCHIRA, Trivandrum.

In 2008, HLL’s Healthcare Services Division opened its first venture of Hindlabs (with path lab, X-Ray and ultrasound facilities) at R.K.Puram in New Delhi primarily for Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries.
